HittersBox Hitting Instructor Timi Moni was a three-year varsity baseball player for Columbus High in Columbus, Georgia, helping the team win the state championship in 2000 with a 36-3 record. After graduation, he represented Team Georgia in the well-known Sunbelt Classic. Drafted in 2000 by the Los Angeles Dodgers, he deferred to accept a full scholarship at Young Harris College in Young Harris, Georgia, transferring to Georgia Perimeter College, where he led the team with 40 stolen bases. Timi joined with the World Series Champion Philadelphia Phillies in 2008, starting his career playing for the Gulf Coast League champions, promoted to the short-season Batvia Muckdogs (New York), Single-A Lakewood Blueclaws and High Class A Clearwater Threshers. Timi is currently a scout for the Philadelphia Phillies.
