Chris Wietlispach

Brown_3_025Chris Wietlispach was a three-year Varsity Starter, as a pitcher and first baseman for Crystal Lake Central High School, in Crystal Lake, IL. During his senior year, he was named one of "State's Best Bets in Draft" by Baseball America and the Chicago Tribune. Chris was also nominated a "player to watch" by Perfect Game USA going into 2004 draft. During his high school years, Chris played travel ball for the nationally ranked Wisconsin Blazers (Milwaukee, WI) and was a fundamental part of the inaugural Top Tier 18U team (Chicago, IL).

Chris was the first student athlete in Crystal Lake Central's storied history to become a Yale University Bulldog. At Yale, he made an immediate impact on the team, lettering his freshmen, sophomore, and junior years. He was named a top five prospect in the Ivy League by Baseball America for 2006 and 2007.

He pitched for the Mat-Su Miners of the prestigious Alaska Baseball League in 2006, playing alongside many current Major Leaguers, and becoming an All-League pitcher. He was rated the #5 best pro prospect in the league by Baseball America, and was proud to be the first Bulldog to grace the fields of the 49th state.

Chris also pitched for the Martinsville Mustangs of the Coastal Plains League (2007), and the Winchester Royals of the Valley League (2008), before an elbow injury sidelined his playing career.

Chris currently resides in Duluth, GA, with his older brother Adam, who works in the tennis industry.
