Brian Mallette

HittersBox Pitching Instructor Brian Mallette graduated from Dublin High in Dublin, Georgia, signing a scholarship to play with ABAC, where he pitched and played outfield. From there, he earned a scholarship to play outfield for Kennesaw State & University, playing on the national championship team in 1996, making the All-Tournament Team for the national championship game. Drafted in 1996 by the Milwaukee Brewers, Brian saved 23 games for class A Beloit in 1998 before being promoted to AAA Indianapolis. Brian made his Major League debut in 2002, and on May 9th, he struck out Sammy Sosa swinging to end the game, capping Milwaukee’s 9-4 win. Brian currently serves as a scout for the Anaheim Angels.
