Clayton Cain

Clayton_CainClayton Cain graduated from Brookwood High School in 2005. While at Brookwood, Clayton was a four-year starter for the Broncos. He played on the 2004 Junior Team Georgia which won the Sunbelt Classic National Championship in Oklahoma. In his senior year, he was selected as the Gwinnett County Player of the Year. Clayton set three school records during his time at Brookwood. He signed a scholarship with the University of Georgia where he played from 2005-2008. 

In 2008, Clayton transferred to Valdosta State University to continue his baseball career. At Valdosta State, Clayton played for two seasons and was named an All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association, as well as the Rawlings American Baseball Coaches Association. In his senior year of college, he hit .429 with 20 homeruns and 75 RBIs.  His career statistics while at Valdosta State were a .400 batting average, 32 homeruns, and 132 RBIs all of which land in the top 5 in the all-time record books.  In May of 2011, Clayton was inducted into the Gwinnett County Dugout Club’s Hall of Fame.

Clayton is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree at Georgia State University in Sports Administration.
